From 5th June 2019, we will be holding regular No Gi Classes every Wednesday from 8pm to 9pm.
The are many similarities between Gi and No Gi Jiu Jitsu, but there are important differences as well. Transitioning from Gi Jiu Jitsu to No Gi Jiu Jitsu is generally easier than switching from No Gi to Gi because of the differences in grips and complexity of the movements in the Gi. Physically, No Gi can be very demanding because it generally requires more aerobic movement and explosivity.
Just like our Gi classes, the No Gi sessions will be taught by Tom and Chelsea who are both highly accomplished No Gi competitors having fought in all the major No Gi events around the world including Polaris, ADCC, Metamoris, and the No Gi World Championships.
Classes are open to anyone of any skill level, but we do recommend you complete at least 4-6 weeks of the beginner programme before jumping into No Gi, as the pace of the class will be faster than a typical Gi class.
